The Drive On Kat Scholarship honors the legacy of Kathryn “Kat” Cerruto, a fellow Rebelle competitor whose story continues to impact the off-road community. During her prescreening health exam for the 2024 Rebelle Rally, Kat was diagnosed with cancer. She was unable to compete, and she passed away nine months later. Her story is a powerful reminder of the importance of preventive health care and taking care of ourselves while pursuing the things we love.
This scholarship was created to encourage prescreen health checks, support competitors in reaching the Rebelle start line, and remind us not to postpone the goals and experiences that matter most.
As Team Panamint Rhumb, we are applying because Kat’s story reflects something we deeply connect with—the balance between preparation, health, and fully living the life we are working so hard to build. The Rebelle Rally challenges us to be self-reliant, intentional, and present. This scholarship reflects those same values beyond the course.
